It was the grand opening of the new Greek restaurant in town, Angela was serving & Yianni was cooking behind the scenes. Unsurprisingly, Angela was starving by the end of the night when Yianni offered her gyro. She knew (in her heart and stomach) this man was important in that moment.

In the month following that night, there were countless all-night-long phone calls. Yianni was patient and respectful as Angela kept her guard up. She agreed to sit with him by the water in Harbor Point. Instantly, it clicked; they talked about everything under the sun, and felt like the start to their forever.

Angela was super excited to bring Yianni to her old stomping grounds at Caprice in Astoria, NY along with their friends Deanna & Alex. They arrived too early (and we all know that no one goes before 2 am) and decided to pass the time at Astoria Park. When Yianni pulled Angela to the side & got down on one knee just under the beautiful bridge view, Angela made the quickest decision she’s probably ever made. Alex & Deanna, who were in on the surprise, captured the special moment all on video.
